DATATOMIC / ABOUT

A lifelong question.
A place to pursue it.

Datatomic Labs gives structure to a long-running curiosity about intelligence, computation, and the physical world.

THE FOUNDER’S PERSPECTIVE

Are our current machines using the right physical and mathematical foundations for intelligence?

That question captures something that has bothered me since childhood. Datatomic Labs is a way to organize those thoughts, examine them seriously, and turn the most promising questions into models and experiments.

My instinct is to begin with observation and let an explanation develop from what I find. When a machine or experiment is out of reach, I want to understand what mathematics can tell us—and what remains to be tested.

WHAT THE LAB DOES

Curiosity, given structure.

ASK

Find the deeper question.

Look across intelligence, biology, physics, and complex systems for observations that deserve a more precise explanation.

INVESTIGATE

Give the idea a form.

Develop a mathematical model, a computational experiment, or a prototype that makes assumptions and consequences available for inspection.

DOCUMENT

Show the thinking.

Share the question, the method, the evidence, and the unresolved parts through papers, lab notes, and video explanations.

Unusual questions.
Careful investigation.

The lab brings theoretical inquiry and practical engineering together. Some work produces software. Some produces a model. Some produces a better question.
