The philosophical starting point
Cosmergence is a space to explore how continuity and change shape our understanding of ourselves. What do we mean when we call something the same person, the same system, or part of a larger whole? These questions invite reflection as well as formal description.
Keep different kinds of claims visible
A metaphor can be meaningful without functioning as a physical mechanism. A personal interpretation, a mathematical model, and an empirical claim should each be identified on their own terms. Resonance is a useful example: its poetic use should not quietly become an explanation of every connection.
Next artifact
A proposed essay series would develop definitions, examples, and counterexamples for continuity, emergence, and resonance. This branch is philosophical exploration, with links back to scientific questions where a testable proposition can be stated.
