DATATOMIC / FRONTIER PHYSICS
Black holes & the limits of physical computation
A place for thought experiments about information and extreme physical conditions.
EXPLORATORY NOTE · PROPOSED INQUIRY
An introductory framing of the question and possible next steps. No completed study or experimental result is reported.
Separate possibility from construction
An equation may describe an idealized physical situation without providing a feasible route to building it. This inquiry would track the gap between a mathematical solution, a physically permitted process, and an engineered device.
Proposed inquiry
Begin with one bounded thought experiment about storing, transforming, or retrieving information under extreme conditions. List the physical assumptions and identify which consequences follow from them. Ask where the model stops being trustworthy.
Next artifact
A literature-backed assumption map is the proposed first step. Controlled miniature black holes and other extreme devices remain questions for theoretical examination here, not plans for an experiment or claims of feasibility.
