DATATOMIC / EXPLORATORY QUESTIONS
Unexpected connections
Perception, sensory interference, and the boundary between analogy and explanation.
EXPLORATORY NOTE · PROPOSED INQUIRY
An introductory framing of the question and possible next steps. No completed study or experimental result is reported.
Keep the observation small
An unexpected connection becomes investigable when it is attached to a specific observation. Questions about perception or sensory interference should identify the signal, receiver, environment, and behavior before proposing a general explanation.
Proposed inquiry
Maintain a question ledger with the motivating observation, two competing explanations, and the smallest useful next step. For comparisons between scientific accounts and philosophical traditions, examine the meanings of the terms before treating similar language as evidence of the same mechanism.
Next artifact
The proposed first artifact is a set of short question briefs. Each would label its scope, evidence needs, and unresolved assumptions so an unusual idea can remain open without being presented as an established result.
